I had been eyeballing the apple tree in my in-laws back yard ever since my husband first took me there. This year i finally yanked some apples down and tried out the Spiced Crabapple Jelly recipe, thinking that these were crabapples. Turns out that they are just underdeveloped apples, the recipe still turned out great. Next year I think i will try a jalepeno-apple jelly or apple-peach jam.
This is a super-cool way to make a cheap laptop stand that you can easily take with you!

Paper Beads
I love making recycled things. I was introduced to paper beads last summer while volunteering with Evergreen as a craft leader.
Paper beads are very easy to make, inexpensive, and unique. Save some magazines and envelopes, grab some glue and get rolling!
